Sam & Sophie
Sophie Wilson, a personal trainer from Hartlepool, and Sam Donaghey, a sales executive from Newcastle, met in Darwin, Australia, while travelling. Prior to meeting, the couple both took part in The X Factor, though never met, and Sophie used to record songs written by Sam during her career as a professional singer. Sam got down on one knee on North Road in London, before being beeped at by a red double-decker bus.

The groom wore
A tailor-made Jeff Banks suit.
The cake
A white and Belgian chocolate cake, with raspberry sponge, from Dreamworld Cakes, Newcastle. Other treats on the dessert table included cupcakes, salted caramel macaroons and white chocolate cake pops.
The transport
A Range Rover for the groom and Range Rover Evoques for the bridesmaids.
Special details
Entertainment was arranged by AMV Live Music in Gosforth, Prime Entertainment organised their casino, Coco Luminaire supplied their own name initial lights and London-based drinks agency, Sweet & Chilli, provided cocktail flaring.
The honeymoon
The couple are planning a fly-drive holiday in America.
