What You’ll Need

  • Kraft card
  • Patterned paper or coloured card
  • Twine or string
  • Scissors
  • Guillotine (or you can use a ruler and scissors!)
  • Metallic marker
  • Black marker
  • Glue
  • Hole punch

Father’s Day Card – Method

  • Take a sheet of brown kraft card and fold it in half to create a tent fold card base
  • Cut a piece of patterned paper to 4 7⁄8” x 6 7⁄8” and a second piece of brown kraft card measuring 4 3⁄4” x 6 3⁄4”
  • Layer the pieces from largest to smallest on your card front to create a mat and layered effect. If you have a different size of card blank – just make sure each layer is approximately 1⁄4” smaller than the last
  • Draw a triangle shape onto patterned paper and cut out – use this as a template to cut two more matching triangle shapes
  • Punch holes into the two top corners of each triangle shape
  • Use a metallic marker to write a letter on each triangle bunting piece to spell out DAD (or a message of your choice!)
  • Take your twine or string and thread through the bunting, glue each end to the
  • card front
  • Tie two small bows from twine and glue to the bunting ends to decorate
  • Use a black marker to write ‘Happy Father’s Day’ underneath the bunting shapes
