This list couldn’t be complete without an entry from Stowell Street in Newcastle. The city’s famous Chinatown is home to a number of Cantonese restaurants, but we have selected Landmark Oriental for our list.

Their exclusive Chinese New Year menu has fantastic deals for both lunches and evening banquets at fixed prices. The two course lunch menu is priced at £22pp with a wide range of specialities, serving a starter and a main course with a side of rice.

Their evening menu includes an extensive banquet selection, starting from £33pp for an indulgence into the finest Cantonese flavours.

Excellent food is coupled with a fabulous bar that will serve you world beers, wines and champagne for any type of celebration.

The split-level restaurant has relaxing and intimate dining boots, leading into the main restaurant with large round banqueting tables and more booths. They cater for all party sizes and special events but booking is essential.

Landmark Oritental is a must visit on Stowell Street and will sure to be busy over the Chinese New Year period, so get in whilst you can.

Bambudda caught our eye for their Chinese New Year Menu, a three-course feast with a side. This is priced at £45pp and gives customers an extensive selection of Cantonese cuisine. It will be a terrific spot to choose for the year of the Dragon.
