Girlguiding in the North East region has joined forces with Disney On Ice to offer young members the opportunity to experience a truly magical treat.
Disney On Ice presents 100 Years of Wonder is coming to Newcastle Upon Tyne this December, and is celebrating with a 100 ticket giveaway for Girlguiding members.
This new ice spectacular from Disney On Ice finds Mickey and friends reliving the adventures of favourite Disney stories.
Audiences can expect to enjoy Mirabel and the stars of Encanto for the first time live on ice!
We’ll also be setting sail with Moana, bringing back summer with Anna and Elsa, and singing and dancing with the Disney Princesses and Toy Story gang.
Over 3,000 Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and Rangers from North Tyneside, Newcastle and Northumberland have been invited to enter a creative competition to win the tickets.
All competitors must draw a picture about a magical experience they have had whilst being involved in Girlguiding, with a supporting statement describing their experience.
All of the ‘magical moments’ will go into a lucky draw, and 25 lucky winners, along with three of their guests, will attend the opening night of Disney On Ice presents 100 Years of Wonder at the Utilita Arena, Newcastle, on 6 December.
Brownies and Rainbows from North Tyneside launched the 100 ticket giveaway competition with a special Disney tea party, where they were treated to a sneak peek of the new ice show, and enjoyed Disney story reading and arts and crafts.
Irene Johnson, North Tyneside County Commissioner for Girlguiding said:
“Girlguiding offers girls the chance to experience many magical moments during their involvement in Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and Rangers, and we’re thrilled to be working with Disney On Ice once again this year so that our girls can think back on their many happy memories for an exciting competition. Seeing this amazing ice show is a truly magical experience.”
