Smart Works Newcastle Charity Event

Smart Works Newcastle believe in using fashion as a force for good. Knowing that when a woman looks and feels good about who she is, she can change her life.

So, they have teamed up with Charlotte Staerk, Founder of the north east’s own The Handbag Clinic, and retail icon Jane Shepherdson CBE, to talk about how we can all enjoy fashion in a sustainable and conscious way.

As well as discussing their individual ascensions to the top of their game, Charlotte and Jane will also be discussing the rise of rental and resale, and what is it that makes those iconic brands as relevant and desirable today as they were 70 years ago.

Charlotte, partnering with Smart Works Newcastle, says:

“Having admired Jane Shepherdson for many years, I am delighted to be spending an evening in conversation with her and others. Handbags have been a lifelong passion of mine, so to partner with Smart Works Newcastle on a project with foundations in fashion is truly an exciting one.

“I love what Smart Works do to empower women through fashion, giving them the confidence to not only get into the workplace but excel.”

Jane says:

“I am delighted to be talking to Charlotte Staerk from the Handbag Clinic about Smart Works Newcastle, fashion as a force for good and all things sustainable. Please join us!”

The event will be taking place on 21 September, 5:45pm at Arthurs Restaurant, in Fenwick Newcastle. Ticket prices are £40, and you can get them here
