What do you do for a living?

I’m an actor.

A day in the life of you?

At the moment, it’s get up and have two double espressos before popping out to the shops. My afternoons are spent watching a bit of telly and scrolling through my phone before getting ready to perform in the evenings.

Any recent, ongoing or upcoming projects or achievements we should know about?

I’m currently playing Mickey Johnstone in Blood Brothers, which you may have recently seen at Sunderland Empire. I’m soon to be in panto in New Brighton too.

What does downtime mean to you?

Playing my guitar and writing songs.



What did you want to be when you were growing up?

An actor!

What is the most important lesson life has taught you?

Always be kind and enjoy the moment.

What is your greatest fear?

Enclosed spaces.

Which living person do you most admire and why?

My favourite actor. Jack Nicholson. His commitment to the craft and his intelligence inspires me.



What is top of your bucket list?

To go to Memphis and Graceland.

What is your most treasured possession?

A handmade guitar that I had made after losing my parents.

What does the weekend mean to you?

At the moment, two shows on a Saturday and a long drive home, followed by a tired but satisfying Sunday.

A memorable holiday?

Paris in 2004 when I got engaged.

Who would be your top-three dinner guests?

Bob Dylan, Tom Waits and Bruce Springsteen.

The Notebook.

Billie Eilish (thanks to my 13 year-old-daughter).
