September is World Alzheimer’s Month and this year, Pepperells Solicitors are hosting a very special event to raise money and awareness for this worthy cause.

Statistics show that two in three people with dementia are women and over two thirds of people caring for a loved one with dementia are also women.

Sarah Gray, Business Development Manager at Pepperells Solicitors, says: “Lots of families we work with are affected by dementia, so we wanted to help the team at Alzheimer’s Research UK to raise awareness – and a few pennies – by hosting a fun filled event.”

Taking place at the Hilton Gateshead Newcastle, the event combines networking and women’s health, with fashion, music, and of course a glass of fizz complementary to all attendees!

The day will also include an expo from local businesses in Newcastle, as well as a raffle and a silent auction with some fantastic prizes to be won.

Sara Hoxhaj, Regional Fundraising Officer at Alzheimer’s UK, says: “We are very grateful to Pepperells Solicitors for supporting us with this fantastic event.

“Part of the program will also be a panel discussion where attendees can hear about the latest research on women and how they are affected by dementia.

“The panel will delve into the research behind women’s healthcare, association of menopause to dementia, as well as sharing practical tips on how you can lower your own risk of dementia throughout your lifetime.”

Alzheimer’s Research UK is the UK’s leading dementia research charity, dedicated to diagnosis, prevention, treatment and finding a cure to dementia.

Pepperells Solicitors are a dynamic and growing law firm with offices across the UK. They offer a wide range of services and can deal with all types of legal work both for the individual and also for complex business requirements.
