Festive Pupcake Recipe
Serves 12
INGREDIENTS
2 ripe bananas
150g peanut butter (make sure it does NOT contain Xylitol – it’s poisonous for dogs. It’s also best to use one with no added salt)
2 medium eggs
75g honey
100g wholemeal flour
75g rolled oats
1 tsp baking powder (optional)
125ml water
METHOD:
Preheat your oven to 180C/160C fan or 3/4 gas mark
Lay out 12 cupcake cases on a baking tray ready to use
Peel your bananas, add to a bowl and mash up
Next, add in the peanut butter, eggs, and honey and mix together till combined. Add in the flour, oats and baking powder and mix till combined. The texture will become quite thick
Gradually add in the water a little at a time until all mixed in
Spread the mixture evenly between the 12 cases, and bake in the oven for around 15-20 minutes until browned on top
Once cooled, spread over a teaspoon of cream cheese per Pupcake, and add on a dog biscuit. ‘Tis the season for feeling festive, we recommend choosing a dog biscuit in the shape of festive characters such as a Christmas tree, Santa Claus, or a snowman
Remove pupcakes from their cases and let your pooch enjoy!
