The building is striking from the outside. Its simple, yet elegant grey exterior provides this city centre hotel with its modern aesthetic.
As soon as we step inside from the busy street, we’re greeted with modern decor and wowed by glamorous accessories.
Glossy furnishings, contemporary light fixtures and bold accessories make up the appearance of this oh-so Instagrammable hotel lobby.
We head upstairs to our room and the simple, yet elegant and sophisticated vibes continue. It’s sleek, it’s stylish, it’s comfortable – it’s the perfect place for us to lay our heads for the night.
Throughout the hotel, both downstairs in the lobby and up in our room, there’s plenty of black and white artwork of Newcastle Upon Tyne hanging upon the walls to showcase the love, respect and pride this hotel has for the beloved city it’s located in.

Shark Club Newcastle – a significant feature of this hotel – is a must-visit for delicious food and gourmet cocktails.
However, for us, we don’t want to leave our four-legged friend alone to get comfy in the room, so we opt for room service.
I order Jack Daniels Bourbon chicken wings (£8.85) to start, while my guest enjoys the buffalo style chicken tenders (£7.50).
For mains, I decide on the classic cheeseburger (£10.95) which comes packed with cheddar cheese, lettuce and tomato and a generous portion of tasty fries. Simple, yet delicious.
My dinner date goes with the Steak Frites (15.25) for their main event – served up with a handful of rocket, chimichurri and drool-worthy truffle fries.
We sweeten the deal with two mouth-watering desserts. First up, the sticky toffee pudding (£5.50) served warm with buttery caramel sauce, whisky crème anglaise and french vanilla ice cream. Up next is the white chocolate cookie skillet (£5.50) served warm with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce.
The sticky toffee pudding is a light fluffy sponge packed with heaps of warmth and sweet flavours. Traditional and delicious. The white chocolate cookie skillet is a true melt-in-the-mouth treat packed with oodles of chocolatey goodness.
Both equally delicious to finish off the meal.
Rosie tucks into Lily’s Kitchen An English Garden Party which comes with chicken, potatoes and strawberries – and by the brief few minutes it’s taken her to eat it, I’m going to take a guess and say she loved it.
