Head to the Hullabaloo in Darlington this week and explore the Enchanted Forest – a specially commissioned play installation for families to enjoy now, until 2nd November 2019. The forest is a magical interactive space with storytelling trees, luminous fairy ponds and musical lily pads. The free creative space has a family friendly café area with hot drinks and light snacks, as well as a programme of music and movement-themed weekly play sessions.

Round up the troops and make your way to York this September for the York Beer Festival 2019. Housing over 500 beers and ciders including a UK keykeg bar and a foreign beer bar, this festival fun-filled festival is the place to be if you’re a beer-lover in the North East and North Yorkshire. Complete with a huge beer garden and a great selection of street food cuisine to suit all tastes, there’ll be plenty to keep your palate happy at the Clocktower Enclosure opposite the Grandstand at York Racecourse.

Don’t forget to catch the award-winning production of Les Mis while it’s in town at Newcastle’s Theatre Royal.
