Cameron Mackintosh’s epic production of Boublil and Schönberg’s legendary Miss Saigon lands at the Sunderland Empire this week. Miss Saigon is one of the largest productions on tour at the moment, with a cast of 38, orchestra of 15 and a technical team of 32, who all bring the show to life. It tells the tale of 17 year-old Kim during the Vietnam war, forced to work in a Saigon bar run by a notorious character. There she meets and falls in love with an American GI named Chris, but they are torn apart by the fall of Saigon. Kim goes on an epic journey of survival to find her way back to Chris.
