Start the weekend with an evening of Gin & Jazz at Worsall Village Hall. Egglescliffe School will play host to the National Youth Jazz Orchestra in a joint concert with the school’s very own Big Band. This pop-up music event is the perfect way to get that Friday feeling – with gin-tasting for good measure, courtesy of Raisthorpe Manor Distillery. Our friends at Pie Jackers will also be on hand, serving hearty portions of pie and peas.

Halloween is just around the corner. Celebrate at Rockliffe Hall this Friday with a Little Devils’ Spooktacular Halloween Trail to find ‘Old Blackhouse’s Bones’. Little ones will journey through Rockliffe’s enchanting Mischmasch gardens – turned forbidden forest, in a quest to help Mr Backhouse find his old bones. The Halloween Trail will be open daily for diners, members and residents to enjoy between 2pm and 6pm.

Northern Ballet’s lively production of The Three Musketeers is a dance adaptation of the novel by Alexandre Dumas. The ballet is being brought back for an all-new tour with debut performances at Newcastle’s Theatre Royal this week. Set in 17th century Paris, d’Artagnan and the three musketeers embark on an action-packed quest to save the Queen’s reputation and the life of d’Artagnan’s love. A whirlwind of adventure, romance and intrigue, accompanied by Sir Malcolm Arnold’s sweeping score played live.
