AWAY FROM IT ALL
Pack up for a pooch-friendly getaway. Think welly walks, open fires and cosy coats as staycation season sets in – and there’s no need to leave your four-legged friends at home…
TIME OUT
Petrol-heads are invited to Alnwick Castle on Sunday to see a dazzling display of MG sports cars. After a special ‘autumn leaves run’ through Northumberland, they’ll be parked in the castle’s grounds for all to see.

WITH THE KIDS
Tyne Bank Brewery’s Baby Social event is back – a weekend must for yummy mummies and their broods. Let the tots take to their mats with toys, while you refuel with doughnuts and coffee and brunchy pies.
Take them to ARC Stockton Arts Centre to see Butterflies – a fun production about three friends on a quest to face their fears. Watch as they cross land and sea in a bid to beat the butterflies within.
FOODIE
Middlesbrough’s Everyone Easts festival has it all. The event will see local chefs show off their stuff, give grown-ups a chance to sample the best local street food and toe-tap to live music and allow kids some time to get crafty.
From pop-up stall success to big-time bakery! Head to Proven Goods’ brand new base in Hoults Yard, Ouseburn, for all your favourite doughnuts, including a few new autumnal flavours, a great quality coffee.
