Wicked is a gravity-defying musical telling the untold tale of an unlikely friendship between two young women who ultimately fulfil their destinies as Glinda The Good and the Wicked Witch of the West. Butterwick Hospice Care is the chosen charity for the 15th North East Oyster Festival Hardwick Hall, Sedgefield. The festival was created in 2004 and is now recognised as one of the corporate events of the year. Singer Gabrielle will headline the event with songs including Dreams, Rise and Out of Reach. The glamorous event includes a champagne reception, a three course Fruits de Mer menu, oyster stalls plus complimentary lager, beer and wine throughout the day.

Michael Palin sails in to Tyne Theatre & Opera House to talk about his latest book, Erebus. The former Monty Python stalwart and much-loved television globe-trotter, brings to life the world and voyages of HMS Erebus; from its construction in the naval dockyards of Pembroke, to the part it played in Ross’ Antarctic expedition of 1839-43, to its final rediscovery on the seabed in Queen Maud Gulf in 2014.
