Boyzone fans can still get their fix with one of its biggest stars at this summer’s Kubix Festival. The band’s frontman, Ronan Keating, is to appear at the inaugural event, which will bring a weekend of nostalgia to Herrington Country Park, featuring bands from the 70s, 80s and 90s. Joining Ronan this Friday will be Peter Andre, B*witched, East 17 and Right Said Fred. Saturday will bring a totally different sound as dandy highwayman, Adam Ant leads a star-studded line-up including The Boomtown Rats featuring Bob Geldof, the Fun Lovin’ Criminals, Peter Hook & The Light, Buzzcocks, The Undertones and The Blockheads.

Round up the troops this Saturday for a summer nature trail followed by a picnic in a picture-perfect location on the Wynyard Hall Estate. Follow a map as you explore The Gardens and tuck in to your own picnic as a reward. What a way to spend a family day in the North East this summer.

NE1’s summer Newcastle Restaurant Week is back, starting this Monday. This fab foodie event gives diners the chance to eat at Newcastle’s finest restaurants for only £10 or £15 per person. Over 100 of the city’s top foodie spots are taking part in the event, which is held twice a year and a firm fixture in the city’s gourmet calendar.

Make your way to Scarborough Open Air Theatre as North East-born singer-songwriter, James Arthur, comes to town for a gig that guarantees good times.
