I couldn’t do what I do without my Mum and Dad. My Dad used to run the shop that I operate out of as a record store, and before that it was run by my grandfather who was a photographer. My parents are very involved with the business, and are in the boutique with me most days. Their encouragement has helped me get to where I am today.

For a weekend > Runswick Bay – I grew up spending time there with my grandparents, and I have still kept many of my childhood friends from there. I love going there to relax. The best thing about it is that there’s no mobile phone signal, so when I’m there I truly have to relax!

A long holiday > The best holiday I have been on recently was to Australia – I have some good friends who emigrated out there. I went for a few weeks, and it really gave me the chance to reassess everything.

A treat > In an ideal world, I would love to travel to the Far East – I think that it would be great to get inspiration from the amazing fabrics and colours that are used in clothing.

Best food > I’m a simple creature really – I love a good pie! My best dinner out recently was in Brick Lane, London, where I ate the best Dim Sum ever.

Best wine > I’m no connoisseur, but  I love a good glass of bubbly!

Favourite restaurant > La Pharmacie in Middlesbrough does fantastic food. We held an event there for Middlesbrough Fashion Week and I was blown away by the food.

Perfect weekend > Hanging out with my girlfriends, switching off from work and chatting

Downtime means > Good wine, good food and good friends. No work.

Best telly > I don’t watch a lot of telly really, I don’t have time. I would much rather be involved in a good conversation. Telly kills that.

Best book > I’m inspired by reading books by those who have succeeded in business. Losing My Virginity by Richard Branson stands out as one of my all time favorites.

Best sounds > I love a good bit of cheesy pop! Nothing like having a good dance around the kitchen when no-one’s watching!

Luxe shop >>

Best shopping city > Has to be London. I love the markets – I love finding unique and original vintage items. I particularly love beaded belts and bags

Favourite shop > Kate Fearnley Boutique!

Luxe retail treat > Earrings.

Best buy > My leather jacket. It goes with everything.

Luxe party >>

A memorable night out > I recently had an amazing day and night at Ascot Ladies Day. Fantastic people watching, lots of champagne and interesting people

Perfect party > Best party recently was fancy dress at my friend’s for the Royal Wedding. I made my own corgi outfit! I looked ridiculous, but had a brilliant time

Best dress > A jersey maxi dress from my new collection. It’s so comfy and can be dressed up or down

Dinner date > I’ve not had my best one yet!

The best luxury at the moment is having nothing to do. Or a massage does wonders for the soul.
