Whitley Bay’s iconic Spanish City is re-opening – and the whole family is invited for a behind-the-scenes look at its makeover this weekend. Enjoy a sneaky peek of the newly-restored venue between 12.30-5.30pm on Saturday, or 9am-4pm on Sunday, before it opens its doors for real on Monday.

Low Fell Food Market is hitting the road for a one-off weekender in Gateshead’s sunny Saltwell Park. A chance to snack on world street food from some of the region’s best-loved producers, sip on ice cold delights from the bikeshed bar and kick-back to summery tunes, courtesy of local buskers.
