Berwick-upon-Tweed’s annual Food and Beer Festival – a celebration of great quality, local food and booze – is something that we look forward to with relish. Opposite Berwick’s Georgian barracks, on the green, you’ll find a grand marquee, packed with lots of yummy things. Friday is a day dedicated to all things ale as the weekend kicks off with a day of beer and bites, followed by two days of street food from over 80 producers, live cooking demos and foodie films.

Foodie hotspot, Malton, hosts the Malton Game and Seafood Festival. This is a town that should know its stuff on both counts with moors and coast close to home.
