Pleased to Meet You, Newcastle

Located on one of Newcastle’s chicest streets, Pleased To Meet You offers an extensive range of gins, meaning there’s always something to suit your tastebuds. With 19 London gins, five Sloe Gins, 24 fruit and flavoured gins and many, many more, this little gem is a go-to city bar for all your gin-fuelled fun this summer.


Dacantus, Newcastle

Dacantus has its own ‘Speciality G&T Menu’ which boasts over 90 speciality gin concoctions, and if that’s not enough, you can even join the experts for your very own gin tasting session. Newcastle’s gin lab is a must visit if you’re celebrating World Gin Day in the North East.


TRU:VAI, Stokesley

There’s a new kid on the block in Stokesley – and it’s bringing coffee culture and cocktail concoctions to the pavements of the North Yorkshire market town. TRU:VAI is a swanky new family run coffee shop/bar standing proudly on Stokesley high street. Go here for wake-me-up coffee catch ups, afternoon tipples or cool off on a summer’s evening with a refreshing G&T.


Tin of Sardines Gin Bar, Durham

With over 250 gins on offer, this quirky spot in Durham is the place to be for beautiful botanicals. Whether you want dry or sweet, floral or spicy, there is a large selection on offer. You can also experience gin tasting for just £30 per person.


Evil Eye, York

This bar went viral after being in the Guinness Book of Records for ‘Most Varieties of Gin Commercially Available’, with over 1,000 different types of gins on offer. Upstairs, Evil Eye is a shop, but head through a secret door and you’ll find yourself in a little speakeasy, serving the coolest cocktails in the city. If you have a passion for gin, Evil Eye’s Gin Shop is the place for you.


Fourth Floor Cafe, Harvey Nichols, Leeds

With a delicious combination of gins, mixers and garnish ideas, it’s impossible to not get excited about the Fourth Floor Cafe’s cocktail list. Join the mixologists for tastings, demonstrations and the chance to recreate your favourites. Guests will enjoy a welcome cocktail, followed by spirit tasting, a guide on how to shake three signature cocktails and the chance to get creative, mixing up your own masterpiece. If a cocktail masterclass is not your thing and you just want to pop in for a tipple, then head upstairs in Harvey Nichols and your G&T awaits.
