MIGHTY DUB FEST >>
Whisk him away for a long weekend of motors, music and more at this year’s Mighty Dub Fest. Set in the grounds of Alnwick Castle, the three-day festival promises fun for the whole family; cars, camper vans and motorbike displays for the guys to lust over, entertainment from live bands and silent discos for teens to enjoy, plus dog shows, fairground rides, circus workshops and party games for the little ones. The event’s fully-catered, too, so expect plenty of great food and drink, street-food-style stalls and pop-ups.
BEAMISH RELIABILITY RUN >>
Beamish’s 48th Reliability Run kicks off on Father’s Day this year, promising guests a thrilling day out, filled with stylish, vintage motors – from cars and motorcycles to commercial vehicles – registered before 1956. Beginning and finishing at Beamish, the run will follow a 150-mile route around County Durham and North Yorkshire, before making their return through The Town at Beamish to the finish line on the Events Field. There will also be a static display of classic cars throughout the day.
SUNDAY LUNCH >>
Treat him to Sunday lunch with a difference at St James’ Park. Booking up for the stadium’s special Father’s Day spread means he can enjoy two hearty courses, a free pint (or soft drink) and an exciting taster tour of the grounds. And if you really want to spoil him, you can upgrade to three courses and upgrade your booking to an executive box, allowing you to dig in to your meal while overlooking the pitch. From £20 per person.
FATHER’S DAY TEA >>
Celebrate in style at Walwick Hall. There, you can treat him to a spot of Father’s Day Tea; a rustic platter made with the guys in mind, including mini burgers and spiced wedges, homemade sausage rolls, chutney ad mixed nuts, chicken liver parfait, cheese scones, jam-filled doughnuts and chocolate eclairs, all served with tea or coffee. For a special treat, add an ice cold flight of beer to the mix – there are three types on offer. From £19.95.
