Make family plans this Friday at Tyne Theatre & Opera House. From the books by Julia Donaldson and Alex Scheffler, Tiddler and Other Terrific Tales takes to the stage. Journey under the sea, go out on the farm and wander into the jungle as these terrific tales are woven together with live music, puppetry and a whole host of colourful characters. Funky moves, toe tapping tunes and giggles and guaranteed.

Foodies, get ready for a scrumptious day out at Bishop Auckland’s tasty Food Festival this weekend. Join one of Britain’s most recognisable bakers, Candice Brown, as she shows off her best baking tips in the Cookery Theatre at Bishop Auckland’s Town Hall on the second day of the festival. Candice joins ITV This Morning’s Phil Vickery, too, who will be taking the festival by storm with a fantastic menu of live demonstrations and delights to try out at home. With plenty more celebrity chefs to be announced, we can’t wait to get stuck in.
