Wearing…

I love a jumpsuit. As a working mum I find it my instant go-to outfit, for an effortlessly stylish look. Dress down with trainers for a casual business meeting, or pair with killer heels for an evening out. I have several styles and colours, for every occasion possible, but my luxe pick for spring/ summer, has to be the Limited Edition Leather Jumpsuit from Massimo Dutti. Made from Soft Nappa natural leather with burnished edges and mother of pearl buttons, the ultimate Jumpsuit for that special occasion.

Loving…

I have used Charlotte Tilbury makeup for a year or so now, and have started to use the skincare too, I absolutely love the Multi-Miracle Glow cleanser, mask & balm. It moisturises, cleanses and delays signs of ageing, my skin looks and feels smoother and its perfect for a summer hydrated glow. You can use it daily as a deep cleanser, overnight as a regenerating facial mask (this is how I use it) and wake looking refreshed with glowing skin, or as a SOS beauty balm to target cuticles, elbows, heels and shins. Great to have a pot in a travel bag, it really is all you need for a glowing summer look.

Scents in the home…

I love to spend time in my home and have a passion for interiors, not only do I like my home to look good but it has to smell good too. It’s one of the first things I notice when I visit somewhere new. I’ve tried so many different brands of candles over the years and nothing quite hits the spot. So, I decided to work with a local fragrance house and candle pourer, to create three different scents, which sit perfectly into the tutti lifestyle collection. Each scent has been designed to be used in different areas of the home, or at different times of the day, to set the mood for the occasion.

SPRING TREND WATCH WITH KATE ROSE

COASTAL >> Inspired by our humble surroundings, the coastal fragrance has been carefully created to encapsulate the feelings of a coastal walk: imagine a sea breeze married with coastal roughness, weathered woods and salty air, offset by crisp citrus touches. The perfect spring/summer fragrance for the kitchen and family room and is sure to put a spring in your step.

HARBOUR >> The second fragrance is inspired by the scent of an early morning dusk at a stirring busy harbour. Distressed wood and smoky embers teamed with sharp peppery hints. This is a rich, warm, intoxicating fragrance with notes of tobacco, soft bergamot, sun sweetened mandarin and hints of rock rose. Perfect to sit in your bedroom or bathroom, leaving a distinctive scent, long after the candle is put out.

INDUSTRIAL>> An indulgent fragrance, sophisticated, opulent and desirable. Inspired by my love of travel, a rich Oudh fragrance of roses, saffron and cardamom on a base of rich amber and worn leather. The perfect fragrance for evening entertaining. Aptly named my Friday night fragrance, candle lit, glass of wine poured and a good album playing in the background – perfect…

Eating…

Jamie Oliver’s 5 Ingredients is the perfect cookbook for a working parent. 5 ingredients, simple recipe’s and delicious meals. My favourite is the Italian Seared Beef, fresh, tasty and prepared in just ten minutes – perfect for a weekday tea.

Listening to…

John Mayer – The search for everything. An easy listening, soulful album that has a light summer vibe and is the perfect background music.

Flowers…

I love to use flowers for styling my home, and find the most cost-effective way to always have a house full of flowers is to plant my own, I can then pop outside and grab a bunch whenever I feel like it. My top picks are viburnum – floppy green and white mop heads which look stunning in the garden planted in rows.

Gaura – a free flowering plant that dances in the breeze, flowers for months in the garden (I still had flowers until the beginning of November) Cut fresh from the garden and style in big bunches, for a wild country look. Last but not least olive, I have two large olive trees which grow rapidly in the back garden through the summer months. I just love the green and silvery appearance of the leaves against simple white flowers, they look stunning potted in oversized containers and elegant cut in clear vases inside the house.
