WHAT'S ON THIS WEEK

Noël Coward’s sparkling comedy, Private Lives arrives at the Gala this week. The London Classic Theatre touring production presents strong passions, strong personalities and the battle of sexes. It’s the 1930s in the South of France and two newly-married couples are occupying adjoining honeymoon suites in the same hotel. Champagne flows and the sea shimmers in the moonlight as the happy couples set in for the evening, when Amanda overhears a familiar voice singing a forgotten song and an old spark reignites – with spectacular consequences. Full of razor-sharp wit and quick-fire dialogue, Private Lives is a charming comedy with remarkable appeal and fascinating characters. A must-see!
