SUMMER BEAUTY UPDATE

NARS NEWNESS >>

NARS extends its famous Orgasm collection for summer 2017. The iconic and cheeky-named blusher, created back in 1999, has earned the brand countless of awards over the years and continues to fly off the shelves worldwide (in 2016, the amount of Orgasm blushers sold were enough to circle around the globe 32 times). Its new sister products, a liquid blush (£23) and lipstick (£21) both boast the cult-classic pink colour and, together, do a grand job of perking up the face for summer.

BRONZE IT UP >>

By Terry releases two new summer editions of its dreamy Sun Designer Palette, packed with six solar-inspired tints, inspired by the many gradations of sunlight on a hazy summer’s day, to bronze you up, add some glow and make your tan pop. Swept on all over or just on the high points of the face, the buttery powders sculpt and enhance effortlessly. Pack one in your case before jetting off to warmer climes – the bronze shade doubles up as a flattering eyeshadow too, making it an all-in-one winner for travel.

Flood your skin with luminous moisture with the help of Marc Jacobs’ Dew Drops Coconut Gel Highlighter. Infused with coconut water and vitamins to hydrate and nourish, the gel-cream elixir instantly lights up the face – whether you choose to pat it on the cheekbones, or mix it in with your primer or foundation. The golden-peach hue it gives is free of chunky glitter, delivering a subtle sheen and gentle warmth to the complexion instead. Like angel skin in a bottle.

SUN SAFE >>

Murad’s latest sun protector is a real winner for anyone with a hatred for white, pore-blocking sun cream, but who still wants a facial SPF that packs a punch when it comes to skin-shielding ingredients. The brand has others in its SPF range (which we love too), but what’s neat about the new City Skin Broad Spectrum (apart from the fact it’s factor 50) is that it also tackles environmental aggressors such as blue light and infrared radiation from digital devices, computer screens and TV, as well as the sun’s pesky rays. It also blends like a dream, leaves no ghostly marks and makes skin soft. A top pick for city-workers, outdoorsy types and on-the-go young professionals married to their phones.

RADIANCE BOOST >>

If you haven’t heard of VOYA before, give them a Google and discover a whole new range of skincare loveliness, heralding from the west coast of Ireland. The brand’s been going strong for 10 years and specialise in using hand-picked wild Irish seaweed in its products to help improve skin health – and wellbeing. There’s something for all skin types, but we’re loving the Luminosity Refining Radiance Exfoliator (€45) right now for its brightening magic. Using pineapple and seaweed enzymes, the mask gives dull skin a new lease of life, sweeping away dead skin cells and minimising pores in minutes. Apply a layer over cleansed skin for 5-10 minutes, then wash off.
