MADE FOR LIFE - SEAHAM HALL

SEAHAM HALL: MADE FOR LIFE

Spending the day at Seaham Hall is all about checking out of everyday life, retreating, relaxing and enjoying a bit of downtime in a tranquil haven by the coast.

It’s a place for everyone, whether that’s a mum-and-daughter day, a couples retreat or a cleansing catch up with friends. Nobody should feel uncomfortable here. A spa day at Seaham Hall caters for all – and if you or a loved one has a health scare that might steer you away from a day at the spa, then look no further than The Serenity Spa.

Here, with the launch of Cancer Touch Therapy treatments, people who have gone though cancer can experience total relaxation in a safe environment. It’s also the perfect treatment for loved ones who have acted as carers or for people who simply love a gentle, soothing massage.

Speaking about the launch of the new Cancer Touch Therapy treatments, Spa Manager Davina Hassell says: “We feel confident that we are now able to open our spa doors to all our guests and have already been overwhelmed by the response from some people who are going through cancer, who have previously been turned away from other spas.”

The Made for Life products are a real treat and are 100% natural and organic. They really do give off the feel-good factor. Made for Life offers authentic wellbeing at its very finest. MADE FOR LIFE - SEAHAM HALL

Amanda Barlow, MD of Made for Life says:

“We have been treating people with cancer to our gentle, nurturing spa protocols for well over a decade, using our 100% organic skincare products, and we are delighted to be able to help more people in this way.”

Made for Life Organics grew from a need for skincare that nourishes your body both inside and out. Since their conception, the formulations have evolved with dermatological research and that of the incredible power of nature.

Made for Life has an ethos of healthy and wholesome living. It is about making choices that contribute to our own wellbeing and that of the world we live in.

The Cancer Touch Therapy itself at Seaham Hall is pure bliss. It’s nurturing, it’s calming and it brings a bit of goodness back in to the body.

We check in for the Hand on Heart – back, face and scalp treatment (60 minutes). Within seconds I’ve fluttered from a busy, deadline day environment to a haven of pure luxury – drifting into a meditative state of relaxation.

MADE FOR LIFE - SEAHAM HALLPersonally, a sports massage is more my thing. Easing those tight muscles and really working through the body to release knots and tension. But I have to say, this slow Tui Na Chinese massage has won me over. From rebalancing the upper body to replenishing the face and nourishing the skin – the treatment eases tension and puts good-for-you oils back into the skin. I slowly swerve into a dream-like state as the soothing, rhythmic techniques take over. And when I hear those three signature chimes as the treatment comes to a close, I’m totally relaxed, floating on a cloud – ready to cancel all plans and drift into a calm weekend.

My therapist, Georgia talks me through the natural products used in the treatment, giving me a Made for Life wellbeing guide to take home. The guide talks you through each product used and how you can incorporate the technique into your daily skincare regime.

Products include the daily radiance facial cleansing balm, the refresh and clarify facial skin toner, the daily rejuvenating face oil, replenish and protect daily moisturising balm and the brightening facial exfoliator for a refreshing finish.
