GIN FESTIVAL – NEWCASTLE
Britain’s biggest and oldest Gin Festival returns to Newcastle Racecourse on June 9th & 10th. This festival is a must for all gin-lovers; with countless gins, distilleries and industry experts. A day at Gin Festival, Newcastle will show you the vast opportunities the world of gin has to offer.
PLEASED TO MEET YOU MASTERCLASS
If learning how to perfectly prepare gin appeals to you, then look no further. Pleased To Meet You offers a regular gin masterclass, where their skilled mixologists will show you how to create divine cocktails. From the classic G&T, to weird and wonderful concoctions, you’ll be a Gin Wizard by the time you finish. You’ll also get the opportunity to get involved in a tasting session in their exotic bar, Viceroy, where you’ll put what you’ve learnt into practice and indulge in your dream drink.
THE GIN SOCIETY – NEWCASTLE CASTLEGATE
The prestigious Gin Society will be hosting its first ever Newcastle event at Castlegate on August 18th & 19th. As well as over 90 types of gin and Prosecco to try, they’ll be entertainment, advice from experts and incredible food making. You’ll also get a free gin glass when you attend – so you continue the gin party at home too!
GROUP GIN TASTING AT LAZY LOUNGE, LEEDS
Head down to Leeds’ oh so trendy Lazy Lounge for an afternoon of baked and boozy delights. You’re bound to fall in love with everything this quirky independent bar has to offer, whilst indulging in their impressive selection of gin, whiskey and wine (not to mention their mouth-watering cakes).
THE BATHTUB SESSION
Wylam Brewery never fail to produce quality beverages and their Bathtub Sessions are no exception. Located at Wylam’s infamous brewery, the two-day event celebrates the best craft gins on the market. With over 150 different gins on offer, you’re bound to discover something you love. This fabulous gin event also offers a wide variety of craft ales, street food and live music – so there’s something for everybody to enjoy. This year’s session will take place on July 7th & 8th.
SIPSMITH GARDEN PARTY – THE WINDMILL, MAYFAIR
If you’re planning a trip to the capital this July, we’d recommend the Sipsmith Garden Party to any gin lovers. The elegant distillers will be hosting a Garden Party on July 15th, providing cocktails and hearty pub-grub hampers on the day. From posh scotch eggs and meat pies to expertly prepared cocktails, the picnic will be a spectacular evening of taste sensations and perfect flavour pairings.
GIN TASTING MASTERCLASS – THE GRANGE HOTEL, YORK
