CHILLI FESTIVAL

Push your tastebuds to the test at the annual North East Chilli Festival in Seaton Sluice, just opposite Gloucester Lodge Farm. Now in its sixth year, the festival offers everything from chilli chocolate and fiery baked goods to weird and wonderful street foods. The festival will also be hosting a ferocious chilli eating contest – but be warned: you’ll need a stomach of steel.
