There was a time when indulging in a spot of Afternoon Tea was considered to be one of the girliest of treats, but nowadays you’ll find plenty of places serving up heavenly mini mouthfuls that the gents can also appreciate! Walwick’s impressive Father’s Day selection includes savoury buns, mini pork pies with apple sauce, Walkwick’s special sausage rolls and a selection of dainty desserts. He’ll also be treated to a complimentary flight of beer, or glass of house wine, to wash it all down.

£19.95 each, available June 17-18. Requires 24 hours advance notice and a £5 deposit per person taken on booking.

If you reckon he might be in need of a little TLC, then why not set him free to enjoy the hotel’s luxury spa facilities for a couple of hours? Spoiling him with a Father’s Day Spa Package means he can kick-back for two full hours and choose from either a 30-minute back, neck and shoulder massage (£39 per person), a 30-minute Lava Shell back, neck and shoulder massage (£44 per person), or a full body massage (£59 per person). He’ll also receive a complimentary flight of beer, or glass of house wine.

Includes robes, slippers and fluffy towels. Available until June 30. Booking is essential. 


TREAT HIM TO… LUNCH

Walwick’s Father’s Day lunch offering goes above and beyond your typical Sunday lunch grub. Dining here on the 16th means families will be spoiled with a feast of sophisticated dishes to help you mark the occasion in the tastiest way possible. Foodie highlights include lightly spiced chickpea croquettes with peppers, almonds and tomato, hand-carved smoked salmon on rye bread, roasted sirloin of Galloway beef, leg of local lamb or pork with yummy add-ons like red wine jus, apple sauce and glazed veggies, roasted red pepper, tomato and goats cheese risotto, seared chicken or sea trout with gnocchi and chorizo, and rum baba and a selection of artisan cheese for puds.

Available 12-6pm on June 18. Order two courses and dad will enjoy a free flight of beer, or glass of house wine. Booking is essential.
