The best-loved family hairdressing firm, At Sisters of Pink Lane, Newcastle have secured a place in the Grand Finals of the L’Oréal Colour Trophy.
At Sisters owner, creative director and colour specialist Claire Hildreth came away from the regional competition in Leeds back in April with a place in the national Grand finals next Monday in London.
From 100’s of initial photographic entries, to 500+ regional finalists, and now just 54 salons from across the whole of the UK will compete at the highly acclaimed Grand Final in London. The finalists will have just one more opportunity in which to prove both their creative flair and technical ability in their chosen category.
The overall winners in each category will pick up a once-in-a- lifetime prize package which includes a European Trip to shoot their winning look, a fashion shoot with a leading consumer glossy magazine, plus endless opportunities throughout their winning year!
At Sisters is a lovely, family firm that’s welcoming from start to finish – but also offers a brilliant service whether you’re in for a cut, colour or style for a special occasion. It’s their mission to make sure their clients always leave the salon fully revitalised, refreshed and totally satisfied with their new look.
Clients are always in good hands with the mother/daughter trio of Margaret Emmonds, Claire Hildreth, and Joanne Emmonds. The salon is a real home from home and the team make you feel warm and welcome from start to finish.
L’Oréal Colour Trophy is the longest running live hairdressing competition in the world. The competition showcases some of the brightest hairdressing talents across the country, whilst ensuring that hairdressers nationwide are continually inspired to celebrate ‘Hair Inspired by Fashion’.
The North East is always recognised as a strong category in the competition with leading salons across York, Leeds, Hull, Middlesborough, Sheffield, Durham, Darlington and Sunderland taking part.
“We’re over the moon to be putting a small family business on the map at such a high level,” said Claire, who had previously been an ID Artist for L’Oreal – training which has obviously paid off!
“It just shows hard work, determination and a never give up attitude, bouncing back from years of disappointments, is worth it to final receive the accolade of a Grand Final position.”
Claire and her team, including her sister and beauty artist Joanne and local model Cait from Tyne Tees Models, will now compete in the Grand Final on 5th June at Battersea Evolution, London.
We’re rooting for the At Sisters girls here at Luxe HQ!
