If you’re a regular around these parts, you’ll know how fond we are of SHOW Beauty (you can read about our thoughts on the haircare collection here).
Founded by Tamara Ecclestone, it’s a brand is known and loved for its uber-luxe collection of hair styling goodies, from dry shampoo and finishing mists, to oils, texturising sprays, root-lifting lotions and more – all of which are packed with really sophisticated ingredients to restore vitality, strengthen, soften and shine.
The sleek and sexy bottles have taken up permanent residence on our dressing tables for this very reason and have no problem with admitting that we love nothing more than spritzing our locks with the brand’s signature creme brûlée-like scent like there’s no tomorrow – on a near daily basis.
You can get your hands on them at House of Fraser at intu Metrocentre, where you’ll discover SHOW’s only North East-based Blow Dry & Styling Bar – a place where you can treat yourselves to a blow-dry, an up-do, an express wash-n-blow (great before an event or night out in the city) or even a few braids if you fancy it.
Most recently, the brand strengthened its collection with two new additions – which we’re particularly excited about. And for good reason, too. Not only do they have a rather fabulous name (though we’re biased), they give us what all women want – plenty of bounce and lift (the kind you get in-salon but can never seem to recreate at home), but without the weight.
They’re the Lux Volume shampoo and conditioner – a magical, root-lifting duo that, together, make hair look and feel fuller. As with all SHOW hair products, they’re infused with softening caviar and white truffle and vitamins and amino acids to strengthen, but the secret to all that va-va-voom is ingredients such as wheat protein-based copolymers and pro vitamin B-5. Both have been proven to improve hair density, adding plenty of body without weighing locks down.
The innovative gel-like formula lathers gently, transforming into silky soft bubbles as you begin your mini, in-shower scalp massage. Using them feels invigorating – like you’re giving your roots a work-out – but yet you aren’t left with any gritty texture (leave that to the Working Texture Spray). Softness isn’t compromised, like it is with many other volumising products. Hair still feels silk smooth, but with an airy lift that lasts throughout the day.
We’d urge any of you fine-haired folk out there to try the newbies as soon as you can get your mitts on them (they’re £30 each, but worth it if you like spoiling your locks – plus they last for weeks), but if you’d prefer to try before you buy, then why not pop down to the Blow Dry & Styling Bar for a very swish discounted styling session on us? Well, we do like spoiling you lot…
