Judie now works as a People’s Postcode Lottery Street Prize presenter, touring the country as winning cheques land in the different postcodes. As part of her role, she also gets to lend her support to great charity projects.

I have fantastic friends and family who I couldn’t be without. I try and see my parents a couple of times a week. They still live in the family home in Consett, County Durham where my brother and I grew up, so visiting is always special. I also adore my partner, Tom.

For a weekend > I’m usually working at the weekend. My job at People’s Postcode Lottery takes me all across Great Britain handing out cheques to winners. When I do have time off, I like to spend it with my friends and family. Tom and I recently stayed in a fantastic lodge in Lochinver in Scotland – it was fantastic.

A long holiday > I just love Las Vegas. I’ve been a few times with the girls and also with Tom. The nightlife, shows and shopping are just great. I would go with anyone who asks me!

A treat > It’s a real treat to go to a spa for a massage or manicure. I love checking in at Rockliffe Hall.

Best food > Italian food has always been my favourite, especially lasagne.

Best wine > I like to sip a glass of Cloudy Bay at The Bay Horse in Hurworth.

Favourite restaurant > It has to be Rustique in Richmond. It has fantastic food and is owned by Tom.

Perfect weekend > Because I am travelling for work most weekends, it’s a real treat to relax at home when I get the time off.

Downtime means > Tom and I really enjoy going to the theatre and seeing live shows. I’m actually going to see Little Mix at Durham County Cricket club in July – although I’m not taking Tom to that one!

Best telly > I really enjoy crime drama. I love the gritty real life thrillers and I’m excited about the return of Broadchurch.

Best book Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett – it’s a long one but I’m really interested in architecture and history and this combines both.

Best sounds > It would have to be the gasps and happy sobs of winners when I present them with their cheques. I see people’s lives change on a weekly basis and it never gets old. I also love the sound of the ice cream van – it brings out the child in me!

Best shopping city > I really love Yarm for lovely village shops but it has to be Edinburgh for city shopping – it’s so compact.

Favourite shop > The House and Jules B in Yarm are two of my favourites.

Luxe retail treat > It’s a real treat to go into Pam Jenkins in Edinburgh – luckily for me, it’s just round the corner from People’s Postcode Lottery offices.

Best buy > It has to be my iPad. I need it to organise my life and it’s great to watch TV on as I’m always on the road.

A memorable night out > In my line of work, I am very lucky to be invited to some exclusive events. A highlight was definitely The Pride of Britain Awards a couple of years ago, which was hugely inspiring.

Perfect party > People’s Postcode Lottery’s charity gala this year was fantastic. The event was to celebrate the £168 million raised by players of the lottery and was a chance for supported charities to celebrate together. I hosted the event this year and had the pleasure of introducing HRH Prince Charles and Sir David Attenborough who were both representing their charities, Fauna and Flora and The Prince’s Charities.

Next party > I am honoured to be invited to the Pride of North East Awards in May this year – I’m really looking forward to that. I also have my brother’s birthday coming up and a friend’s housewarming.

Dinner date > I’m more of a lunch girl. One of my favourite things to do at the moment is to meet Tom’s mum for lunch.

Aside from family, friends and my work, I really love my house in Darlington. I’ve put a lot of hard work into it and it was a real labour of love. It’s my sanctuary.
