IT’S A DOG’S LIFE…

We all love to take our pooches on holiday. You can’t go wrong with a cute cottage or a lakeside cabin where your furry-friend can stretch their legs in the rolling countryside. But sometimes, it’s good to pamper your pooch too – and the perfect way to do so is a dog friendly hotel, complete with doggy dinners and luxe treats. Tewkesbury Park’s new canine experience is a must-try, so Alfie in tow, we sniffed it out…

IT'S A DOGS' LIFEIt’s an exciting thing – packing up and heading off on a holiday or weekend break, but there’s one excited family member that will outshine them all. Yes, your pooch might get excited whether it’s dinner time, a quick breeze around the block or whether they come across a new chewy toy to play with – but when a trip out in the car comes into play (doggy-car-sickness aside), they know exactly what they’re in for. And if it’s not an unsettling trip to the vets, it quite often means it’s holiday time!

This time, we’re off to the Cotswolds for a perfect, pooch friendly break. Leads, treats, teddy bears and all, we’re off on our way.

Tewkesbury Park is our home for the weekend. A lovely, family-owned estate flanked by a perfectly picturesque golf course and the stunning surrounds of the Cotswold countryside. It’s got everything you might need and more, for both your trusty friend and human companions alike. Golf, spa, acres of land and rooms that will make you and your pooch feel right at home. The suites come complete with doggy treats, a memory foam mattress and patio access to the beautiful grounds – perfect for any mid-night toilet emergencies.

Pooch-friendly dinner is served in the Piano Lounge – a spectacular, interior designed space sporting a country-chic style with modern, copper touches. A delicious three course dinner is served, and of course, Alfie doesn’t miss a trick. Locally sourced sausages, mash potato and fresh veg is the dogs dinner – followed by some sweet treats and a hearty bowl of water.

IT'S A DOG'S LIFEAfter satisfying his poochy palate, Alfie is ready to curl up on his memory foam bed. Breakfast is served in the Piano Lounge if you’re taking your canine companion along. Scrambled eggs and sausages for Alfie, as we enjoy the special of the day – Eggs Benedict. Just delicious.

Top class is the verdict from both human and hound. Thank you for having us Tewkesbury Park – we’ll be back again soon – Alfie insists.

Woof!
