Brimstone Hotel's Duet Suite is a swanky hideout. A place where you'll find terrace treats, log burning stoves and king-size luxury...

2Thinking of escaping to the Lakes over the festive period? Or next summer, perhaps? If so, we urge you to check out the gorgeousness that is Brimstone Hotel. Its swanky suites are lovely spaces indeed; bright, airy, filled with luxey interiors.

3Found on the 35-acre Langdale Estate, home to the four-star Langdale Hotel, the luxury, Scandi-style hotel is a equipped with the best leisure facilities in the area, a super special spa and private tennis courts, all available for guests to enjoy.

You can kick-back in a range of suites and rooms – some spa-inspired, others fireside boasting sleek, contemporary good looks, lavish lofts and boutique-style bedrooms.

5One of our favourites is the Duet Suite, perfect for couples and close chums. Enter through the sumptuous living room, home to a roaring wood-burning stove, two 42-inch flat screen smart TVs and state-of-the-art audio system, before passing through double doors, unveiling your private dual-aspect terrace. This steals the show for us – grab the wine, fluffy blankets, throws and pillows, light the lanterns and get settled for the evening in the sumptuous seating area.

The bedroom’s pretty swish too; catch some z’s in the king-sized bed, dressed in Egyptian cotton sheets, goose down duvets and the finest cushions and throws for that hygge feeling we’re all after this time of year.

Over in the bathroom, you’ll find an oversized centrepiece spa bath, complimented by a duet shower and a collection of Noble Isle bath products for all your pampering needs. The log burning stove and folding glass doors onto the terrace make for a cool bathing experience.

If you fancy treating yourselves to a spa experience, the Brimstone Spa offers a luxury, sensory experience inspired by the Lake District landscapes, complete with a private spa suite for two, seven thermal experiences, a relaxation pool, a range of chill out areas, luxurious treatment rooms offering specially designed treatments and a fabulous Spa deli. Go there and relax to the max.
