Chill space, playroom or studio?

The humble shed has now grown in stature to a summer house or, as I like to think of them, a real room outdoors. Growing in popularity, a well-designed summer house can be anything you want it to be, and can have multi-uses all at once.

Chill spaceChill space: After a busy day or indeed at the start of the weekend, there is nothing nicer than heading to the summerhouse; glass of wine or cup of coffee and newspapers in hand.  Furnished with comfy sofas and chairs, you can create a truly relaxing space in which you can recharge your batteries.

denPlay room or teenage den: All kids, big and small, love to have their own space and a summer house can give them just that. For younger ones it can be an all year-round Wendy house where they can play safely away from the house.  For the older ones it becomes a space where they can kick-back with friends, listen to their music or even to go study, without Mum and Dad getting in the way.

Studio2Studio: Summer houses are great places for inspiration whether it’s for musicians, artists or those who work from home but want to work away from the house.
