Friday night gladrags or curry night?
As lots of our events are on a weekend, Friday nights are usually spent preparing pies, which is great as we love nothing more than being in our prep kitchen cooking up a storm. When we have a weekend off, we like to relax with friends who share our passion for good food.

A super Saturday?
Gorgeous sunshine, a long walk on Saltburn beach, driving to Whitby for fresh seafood and a late lunch on the way home at one of the fantastic country pubs in North Yorkshire.

Saturday night… at the stove, or round the table?
Movie night at home. My five-year-old granddaughter often stays with us so our Saturday nights are often spent whipping up a batch of homemade cookies, followed by PJs, pizza delivery, popcorn and a family-friendly film.

TV, radio show, music or newspaper that means the weekend?
Radio 2 on a Saturday from 10am; Graham Norton, followed by Pick of the Pops, Dermot O’Leary and Liza Tarbuck. Saturdays just wouldn’t be the same without it.

We can whisk you away for two dream days. Where would you go?
A luxury cottage in The Lakes. Somewhere off the beaten track, with no internet, no phone signal, our walking boots, a hamper packed full of our favourite food and beautiful weather. The English countryside is the most beautiful place on earth when the sun is shining.

Memorable mini-break?
Lincoln. We enjoyed a long weekend there and fell in love with the place. The history, the cafes and restaurants, the antique shops, the beautiful architecture, the canal boats and the people… it’s all just so lovely.

Sunday best?
A lazy morning with coffee and the tabloids, a large joint of beef roasting in the oven, family arriving around 2pm and a long lunch with everyone tucking in and enjoying themselves round the dining table.
