WITH THE KIDS
Take them to see dozens of cool cars at Darlington’s first classic car show. Wow at vintage 1950s roadsters and 1970s Mercedes and watch scrapped motors transform with graffiti art.
Embark on the Wing Trail in search of birds and other winged creatures around Auckland Castle this weekend. They can get crafty afterwards and leave with their very own, handmade winged friend. 12pm-3pm.
FOODIE
The best of local food and drink will be showcased at Berwick Food and Drink festival this weekend. Grab some street food, a real ale or two and enjoy some foodie demonstrations.
Head to Tyneside Cinema for Bollywood Afternoon Tea. Indian-inspired treats alongside a Bollywood classic film. 3pm, £18 per person. Pay an extra £4 for bubbly!
