TAKING THE TOON BY STORM

A Frozen frenzy is expected to hit the North East from October 19-23, as Disney On Ice presents Frozen arrives at Newcastle’s Radio Arena.

Only a few weeks after the show went on sale earlier this year, producers added an additional performance following huge public demand and as strong ticket sales continue throughout the summer months, a further performance has been added on October 18 – guaranteed to delight and thrill Frozen fanatics across the region.dosney3

With a soundtrack that inspires young and old to sing and dance along, the ice extravaganza will transport audiences to a wintry and spellbinding world, telling the heartwarming – and academy awardwinning – story of sisters Anna and Elsa, who embark on an extraordinary journey to save their kingdom and discover that the power of true love and friendship will always triumph.

Micky and Minnie Mouse will take little ones and their families through the exciting tale, which will also feature special appearances by some of Disney’s most beloved princess and characters from Disney/Pixar’s Toy Story and Finding Nemo, as well as Disney’s The Lion King.

All this, plus a spectacular array of special effects, including a projection canopy that lights the ice with Elsa’s power, makes Disney On Ice presents Frozen the must-see magical event of the season.

Paul Tappenden, general manager of Newcastle’s Metro Radio Arena, said: Frozen, is without doubt, the fastest selling Disney On Ice show in the history of the Metro Radio Arena. This is the first time that audiences in the UK will see the entire Frozen story showcased by Disney On Ice, and the fact that we have now added two extra shows indicates its tremendous appeal. The new performance means the show now opens one night earlier than previously advertised, with a 6.30pm performance on sale for October 18, and I’m sure demand for the opening night will be huge!”

We’ve teamed up with Disney On Ice presents Frozen and Metro Radio Arena to offer our lovely readers one of two pairs of family passes (two adults and two kids) for the opening show on Tuesday October 18 at 6.30pm, closing date September 23. Head to our competition page to enter!
