Begin with a rather unassuming semi-detached house, add some architectural know-how and more than a little designer flair. Then, throw in spectacular sea view from one of the finest vantage points in Craster, and you have Harbour Lights.
Months of renovation has turned this house into something special, where up to eight guests can holiday with ease, enjoying a bespoke gourmet kitchen, stylish bedrooms, tasteful furnishings and some great coastal walks to the likes of Dunstanburgh Castle and Howick, from the doorstep.
Venture inside and you’ll find two floors of luxury. Entertain and mingle in the open-plan living space, kitted out with a cosy wood burning fire and state-of-the-art kitchen, kick-back and watch TV in the dedicated ‘snug’, or curl up at one of the property’s many view points and gaze out to sea.
If you’re lucky enough to bag the master bedroom, you’ll be able to enjoy total privacy in your own en-suite bathroom and drift off in a king size bed. There’s full-size bunkbeds in the eaves of the house if you’re holidaying with little ones – though big kids at heart are also welcome.
Outside, you’ll discover a gorgeous outdoor seating and dining area overlooking the harbour, perfect for alfresco breakfast and brunchy gatherings. The large lawned garden, which slopes down to a stream, is as pretty as a picture. Grab some sandwiches and a bottle of fizz and enjoy a picnic.
