Liam & Kelsey
Liam Leonard, director of Walker-based engineering firm, Parker Hose and Fittings, and marketing executive, Kelsey MacDonald, met 10 years ago on a night out with friends. Liam is from Ponteland, while Kelsey grew up in Dumpling Hall. They now live in the village of Walbottle, half way between their parents’ houses. Liam proposed in the couple’s living room on Kelsey’s birthday, before enjoying a celebratory meal with family.
The venue
Wynyard Hall – the first and only venue the couple looked at. The ceremony took place in the hotel’s Mirror Room, the wedding breakfast in the Ballroom and the evening party in the Conservatory.
The bride wore
A gown by Atelier Pronovias from Bridal Wish in Blagdon.
The groom wore
A navy Ted Baker suit from Moss Bros.
The cake
A three-tier fruit cake by Sandra’s House of Cakes. Chocolate fudge cake (Liam’s favourite) was also served as an alternative.
The transport
Liam hired a white convertible BMW M4 from Stratstone BMW Tyneside. He loved it so much that the couple now have one on their drive at home.
Special details
North East wedding and function band, Hip Operation, performed at the evening reception, while The Paul James Band provided music throughout the day.
The honeymoon
The couple stayed at the Melati Beach Resort in Koh Samui, Thailand.
