Luxe people >>

Of course, my family mean the world to me. My wife Stephanie deserves a special mention for putting up with the demands of our two young children… and me!

Luxe places >>

For a weekend > A cheeky weekend in Barcelona.

A long holiday > Florida with the kids.

A treat > Just being at home with my family.

Luxe relax >>

Best food > I enjoy all foods, but I’m particularly keen on things with a kick! So just add chilli – and I’m sold.

Best wine > I’m a beer and whisky man. Beers from the Far East and whisky from Scotland please.

Favourite restaurant > I hate this question because there are so many fantastic places in the North East. Honestly, you could go somewhere different every night and never have a bad meal. I’ll play safe,
and vote for my wife’s cooking.

Perfect weekend > Friday night on the town, Saturday at the match, Sunday lunch with the family.

Downtime means > A strum on the guitar, an afternoon on the golf course or an hour in the gym.

Best telly > I’m all about sports and movies. If there’s live sport on the box I’ll watch it. If not, I’ll stick a movie on.

Best book > I read a lot of sporting biographies. I also enjoy the occasional bit of classic fiction – Sebastian Faulks, George Orwell and Evelyn Waugh are my ‘go-to’ authors.

Best sounds > I love a bit of rock! Give me some Foo Fighters, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Green Day or Nirvana.

Luxe shop >>

Best shopping city > I hate shopping. I’ll try and do it online if I can. If it’s forced upon me, then Newcastle would be my preference.

Favourite shop > I don’t really have one, does that make me strange? Probably the off-licence, or somewhere that sells electronics.

Luxe retail treat > I could probably spend a lot of money on electrical items. So a treat would be getting let loose in a Panasonic, or Samsung store.

Best buy > My wife bought a 52 inch TV for the lounge. The footy looks pretty good on that!

Luxe party >>

A memorable night out > Having two children under four means nights out are hard to come by. But on the rare occasion we get a babysitter, we head straight into Newcastle! It’s still the best city in the world for a night out.

Perfect party > I love a good house party. Either at my house, so I don’t have to get home, or someone else’s, so I don’t have to tidy up. Tough call.

Best outfit > I’m a fairly simple dresser. Suit jacket and jeans when I’m out, tracksuit bottoms and hoodie when I’m at home.

Dinner date > A perfect dinner date would be somewhere outdoors and warm, with my wife, and a view of the sea.

Your luxe thing in life >>

We’ve just bought a new house up in Gosforth that we love. So that.
