This Friday, the Sage welcomes our lovely March/April cover star, Lauren Laverne as she interviews Viv Albertine at the Free Thinking Festival for the first edition of BBC Radio 4’s Late Night Woman’s Hour, recorded in front of a live audience. Guitarist in pioneering all-female punk band The Slits, Viv Albertine’s autobiography is called Clothes, Clothes, Clothes, Music, Music, Music, Boys, Boys, Boys. Following the breakup of The Slits, Albertine briefly worked as an aerobics instructor before going on to film-making, acting and a solo recording career. An exclusive invitation to find out the fascinating story behind this fabulous musician – all with the help of Lauren Laverne.
