The Magic of Vienna comes to Middlesbrough this week. Violinist Adam Summerhayes and his Orchestra are set to play this year’s Strauss concert which celebrates popular waltzes such as The Blue Danube, Tchaikovsky’s Waltz of the Flowers and well-known gems by Franz Lehár and the legendary Viennese violinist Fritz Kreisler. This delightful, musical programme is a real treat comprising great musicianship, spectacular sounds and fun from start to finish.

WHAT'S ON THIS WEEK

It’s not too late to round the family up for an evening at the panto. This year, the Whitley Bay Pantomime Society presents the brilliant Jack and the Beanstalk at the PLAYHOUSE. This interactive, family-friendly show is a battle of good versus evil as Jack sets off on a giant adventure. Expect a warm welcome, larger-than-life characters and a clever combination of romance, comedy, music and a dazzling dance show that will have you bopping your way through this classic tale told in true pantomime style.
