THE WORKSHOP, LOW MILL GUEST HOUSE

Wooden wonder awaits at this five-star converted mill in North Yorkshire

webbbbbThinking about your autumn break? Head to Low Mill Guest House, North Yorkshire, for cosiness – with a five-star spin.

Found in the heart of Wensleydale in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales, not far from the River Bain, the stone-built former corn mill is in an ideal base from which to explore this fab little corner of the North.

djffhffMost of the original millworks throughout the house remain in working order, including the waterwheel, but it’s the results of its recent restoration into a upmarket B&B guesthouse that really makes this place so inviting – look around the property and you’ll find plenty of impressive little luxuries to make your stay feel extra luxe.

The Workshop is our favourite room; spacious and made lovely with beautiful oak at every turn, plus a free-standing copper bath and separate shower room for pamper moments and a log burner to warm you up on chilly nights. There’s an emperor bed, too, looking out to views of the surrounding countryside and riverside garden. Tech highlights include free Wi-Fi, Freeview TV and an iPod dock.
